Plot

Set in a 1940s Mexican town plagued by the murders of its last three mayors, a well-meaning janitor is unexpectedly thrust into the role of mayor. Eager to bring progress and tranquility, he soon discovers the depths of corruption inherent in the political system. As he navigates a web of deceit, he finds himself succumbing to temptation, wielding his newfound power for personal gain. Surrounded by a cast of opportunists, hypocrites, and criminals, his aspirations for a better future quickly spiral into a dark descent.
