Plot
Hank Marshall, a disciplined Army engineer and nuclear scientist, finds himself in a precarious position during 1950s America as he participates in controversial weapons tests. His outspoken opposition to atmospheric testing puts him at odds with military superiors determined to silence his dissent. Compounding his troubles is his unpredictable wife, Carly, whose captivating presence and tumultuous behavior create chaos both at home and at various Army installations. As Hank navigates the challenges of his career and turbulent marriage, he faces a battle between his convictions and the pressures of military life.
