Snow Prince (2009)

Plot

Ten-year-old Sota struggles with poverty in a small, snow-covered village, living with his grandfather and their loyal dog, Chibi. Despite financial hardships that prevent him from attending school, Sota remains hopeful, dreaming of becoming a painter. His friendship with Sayo, a girl from a wealthy family, endures despite her father’s disapproval. Determined to share his latest painting with her, Sota and Chibi venture through the snowy night, only to discover a fire consuming Sayo’s father's storage. This challenging night teaches Sota that true happiness can always be found within oneself.
