The Miracle of the Bells (1948)
Plot
After the tragic death of a promising young actress, her devoted lover transports her body back to their hometown. He honors her wish for all the church bells to ring for three days following her burial, but soon discovers the expensive cost involved. Despite writing checks to cover the fees, they all bounce due to the weekend closure of the banks. In a moment of desperation, he prays for a miracle to help fulfill her final request. However, the miracle that unfolds is unexpected and leads to surprising revelations.
