Plot
Hanna Kaufman, an Israeli lawyer, finds her convictions put to the test when she takes on the defense of Selim Bakri, a Palestinian man accused of serious crimes. Born in the U.S. to Holocaust survivors, Kaufman has long supported Israel's legitimacy. However, her perspective shifts as she learns about Bakri’s plight and his desire to reclaim his family's ancestral home. Through their interactions, she confronts the harsh realities of sovereignty and the shared humanity in the conflict, ultimately questioning her long-held beliefs and the implications of her professional role.
