Plot

Harriet, a bright young girl, and her older sister Gwen reside in their mother’s motel in a sleepy New Hampshire town. Yearning for adventure and a life away from her distracted family, Harriet forms a unique bond with Ricky, a mentally disabled man who arrives at the motel. She discovers in him a kindred spirit, far more captivating than anyone else in her life. When tragedy unfolds, Harriet and Ricky lean on one another, forging an unbreakable connection in the face of their challenges.
