Plot

Sydney, a rebellious teenager, finds herself in deep trouble after a shoplifting incident and a bout of alcohol poisoning. Her overwhelmed single mother decides to send her to the countryside to live with her estranged father, Ben, and his pregnant wife, Emma. Struggling to adapt, Sydney feels homesick for her city life and faces tension with her new family. However, her friendship with local girl Jess, who has faced her own tragedy, begins to change her outlook. As they navigate their respective losses, the family starts to mend after the passing of Sydney's grandfather.
