Episode Overview
Title: Bonds of Blood Plot: A series of ritualistic killings sweep through Atlanta and its surrounding areas, with victims stabbed and their residences defaced by gang-style symbols. The VCTF steps in, directing their attention toward the son of two slain individuals. His unsettlingly calm demeanor raises suspicions for Sam, leading her to believe he could be involved in his parents' deaths. As the investigation unfolds, they discover he is tied to a cult reminiscent of "Heaven's Gate." Sam goes undercover but fails to gain acceptance. She suspects the cult leader is orchestrating these killings as tests of loyalty. A sting operation is planned to capture him, but the situation escalates when cult members, anticipating the VCTF's arrival, resort to mass suicide by detonating their compound. Meanwhile, Frances stirs tension between John and Bailey.
