Pingu (1986)
S03E24 Pingu Makes a Discovery
Episode Overview
While sledging, Pingu and Robby stumble upon what looks like a large fish tail protruding from the ice, sparking their hopes for a delicious meal. Pingu struggles to pull it free, growing frustrated when it won’t move. After some digging, they finally extract it, still frozen in ice, and take it home. Pingu fuels the stove to melt the ice around their find, while Robby prepares the frying pan. As they set the table, the ice eventually melts, revealing that their discovery isn’t a fish after all and is, in fact, inedible. Grandfather drops by and suggests calling the museum curator to examine it. To their surprise, it turns out to be a missing figurehead from a boat in the museum's collection, delighting the curator. Pingu, Robby, and Grandfather accompany him back to the museum, where a reception awaits, and they even get their picture taken.
