London's Burning (1986)
S04E07 Episode 7
Episode Overview
A tipsy yuppie drops his filofax onto the tracks at a London Underground station. Remarkably, he jumps down to gather the scattered pages, putting himself in the path of an oncoming train. Blue Watch arrives just in time to find him alive and lifts the carriage to rescue him. Meanwhile, Kevin, burdened by guilt over Marion's suicide attempt, visits her, and they reconcile, agreeing that he should move in. Kate grows disillusioned with Jeff, the fireman she met in Kent, but successfully passes her end-of-probation exam. A hotel catches fire, with guests trapped and screaming from the upper floors. Colin risks his safety to save a colleague inside. Nick, concerned about the hotel's safety, confronts the manager and learns that recent renovations have rendered the building dangerously unsafe. Frustrated by a constituent chaining herself to Sicknote's railings, he decides he can no longer continue as a Councillor.
