Jean is going out of her way to be kind to Sicknote, thrilled to be back home. Kevin learns from a stable boy about the rigged races and heads off to confront Charlie. Meanwhile, Blue Watch responds to a shed fire filled with fireworks. The explosions pose a serious risk to the firefighters, while the culprits simply find it amusing. Upon returning to the station, Kevin receives the heartbreaking news that his father has passed away in the hospital, prompting him to comfort his mother. In court, the driver gives an emotional account but ultimately admits he saw the motorbike and that Bayleaf had no chance to evade it. Bayleaf is acquitted of reckless driving, and Blue Watch heads to a party at the Wilson's house. Nick attempts to visit Diana but discovers a stranger in her apartment, leading to a fit of jealousy before he leaves. The Pearce family throws a housewarming celebration, but only a few eerie guests from Bristol show up. Kevin finds a box from his late father
