Episode Overview

Maggie and PJ find themselves in a tight spot when their probe into a dubious goldmine goes awry, leaving them trapped. Newcomers Matt Kinsella and Jamie Burgess assert that the mine belongs to them, but veteran miner Hec O'Farrell firmly claims they are intruders and accuses them of stealing his gold dust. Meanwhile, Dash and Adam stumble upon Hec's partner, Bert, who has been assaulted, leading PJ to suspect Hec is behind the attack to cover his own theft and frame Matt and Jamie. However, Tom and Dash doubt Hec’s motives, noting his long friendship with Bert. As PJ remains convinced of Hec’s guilt, he takes Maggie to confront Matt and Jamie about the mine’s ownership, only for them to unearth a massive gold nugget.
