Episode Overview

Maggie and PJ remain trapped underground, unaware that the rest of the Heelers are frantically searching for Matt Kinsella, now suspected of trying to murder his mining partner, Jamie Burgess. The team uncovers that both men are former security guards from WA, linked to a gold bullion heist that resulted in a colleague's death over seven years ago. Tom realizes something is amiss when PJ's car is found abandoned and meticulously cleaned of fingerprints. Their search finally leads them to the collapsed mine, where a chance Mintie wrapper helps them locate Maggie and PJ. The rescue becomes perilous as removing debris causes further collapses, but they are eventually saved. However, they are determined to find Burgess and Kinsella, who left them behind. Burgess is in the hospital with head injuries, while Kinsella has vanished. The investigation points to Burgess's girlfriend, Deanna, who may hold crucial information.
