Title: The Long Silence Plot: Ralph Mason embarks on an intricate scheme to marry wealthy Nora Cory, seeking her fortune. However, his plan spirals out of control when he murders one of her children from a previous marriage. In a desperate attempt to stage the death as a suicide, he is caught by Nora while crafting a forged note. This shocking discovery leaves Nora in a paralyzed state, aware but unable to voice her fears about Ralph's intentions. As her nurse, Jean Dekker, inadvertently allows Ralph to administer her medication, Nora grows increasingly anxious about potential poisoning. Thankfully, Jean devises a method for communication, using hand squeezes for yes or no responses. After uncovering Ralph's treachery, Jean faces danger when Ralph attempts to eliminate both women. Just in time, Nora breaks free from her paralysis and screams, alerting her surviving son, who intervenes to stop Ralph's lethal plot.
