Episode Overview
Speed is in the midst of the Big Alpine Race when an official at a checkpoint warns him about the approaching storm. Meanwhile, Sparky, Spritle, and Chim Chim are anxious about the Mach 5's brake issues and try to deliver new brakes to Speed. However, Sparky’s vehicle encounters a problem. Fortunately, Trixie arrives in her helicopter just in time to help. On a slippery stretch of road, Speed attempts to overtake the Car Acrobatic Team, but they retaliate by knocking down icicles. As Speed navigates a slick curve, the brakes fail, sending the Mach 5 careening down the mountainside. Speed calls Trixie for assistance. The next morning, he finds Snake Oiler and others stuck at a perilous spot due to heavy rain, which threatens a landslide if they jump over the chasm. The drivers decide to draw lots, and Speed takes the leap, landing among the wreckage below.
