Episode Overview
A man wearing a helmet storms into a pharmacy, kills the employees, and makes off with a stash of drugs. When the MWSPB arrives, they discover that his coefficient doesn't trigger any alarms. Soon after, the same man violently attacks a woman in broad daylight, bludgeoning her to death with a hammer in front of witnesses and a Psycho-Pass scanner. The team soon learns that additional assailants, also in helmets, have robbed an armored vehicle. Kogami suspects a motive behind the second crime and connects it to a man named Jyunmei Itoh, who held a grudge against the victim. As Itoh tries to flee, Kogami realizes that the helmets mimic the clear Psycho-Pass readings of bystanders, allowing the criminals to evade detection. With Akane and Masaoka's assistance, he successfully captures the killer.
