The torso has been identified as belonging to a police officer from Bac Seine-Saint-Denis. On the scene, Gilou and Laure encounter their former boss, Commissioner Herville, who reveals that the deceased's unit is under investigation by the IGPN, led by Judge Roban. In a separate case, the mysterious death of Nicolas leads the magistrate to uncover that he and his roommate were involved in illicit activities. Additionally, the trial of Thomas Weber, the son of a well-known surgeon, is set to commence.
