Tim and Siddy venture beneath Paddington station, where five tube lines converge, with the oldest line dating back 150 years. Tim investigates an active tunnel beneath the mainline, revealing fascinating hints of its historical use. Meanwhile, Siddy stumbles upon old police cells beneath the platforms and discovers remnants of the luggage carousels that once allowed Heathrow Express passengers to check in their bags at the station. At Tottenham Court Road, Siddy discusses the significant renovations for the Elizabeth line and shares how the station’s famous mosaic artwork was preserved during the upgrades.
