Overview

Doc Martin features Martin Clunes as the gruff yet skilled surgeon, Dr. Martin Ellingham, in a charming British comedy-drama. Originating from the character in the 2000 film Saving Grace, the series unfolds in the picturesque coastal village of Portwenn, filmed in the breathtaking Port Isaac, Cornwall. The show captivated audiences through five series from 2004 to 2011, including a special Christmas episode in 2006. After a brief hiatus, the sixth series premiered on ITV in September 2013, continuing the endearing yet amusing tales of the socially awkward doctor and his quirky patients.
