Episode Overview

Mama, Naomi, and Iola are excited to attend a show at the Pepper Pot Playhouse, while Vint and Bubba plan a poker night with their friends. However, when Mama discovers the star of the play, she opts out, leaving Naomi and Iola to go alone as the "poker pals" arrive. Just as Mama is settling in for the night, the phone rings, revealing that the other players can’t make it. Vint pleads with Mama to join the game. To everyone's surprise, Mama excels at poker and steals the spotlight, sharing embarrassing tales from Vint’s childhood. However, when Vint pulls her aside and asks her to boost his image, she inadvertently bores everyone with her lengthy anecdotes. The situation escalates when Mama reveals that Vint fidgets with his ear when he’s lying, costing him a hand. Furious, he storms out, just as Naomi and Iola return, with Naomi declaring the play was terrible.
