Catweazle (1970)

Episode Overview

Mrs. Bonnington, a local council member, often drops by Hexworth Farm, much to Carrot's annoyance. Determined to get rid of her, he seeks out Catweazle for a magical solution. They decide to create a doll to symbolize Mrs. Bonnington, planning for the spell to activate at the seventh chime of the church bell. To complete the spell, they need a personal item from her, but their search in her car yields nothing. When Mrs. Bonnington leaves for a hairdresser's appointment, Catweazle has to hide in her car. Carrot follows on his bike, and once in the village, they devise a plan to retrieve something personal. Catweazle likens the hairdresser's to a torture chamber and recalls the Biblical tale of Samson, realizing that cutting hair symbolizes a loss of strength, which gives them a clever idea to solve their problem.
