This Old House (1979)
S17E09 The Salem House - 9
Episode Overview
We learn some concerning news: a few neighbors are unhappy with the Historical Commission's approval of the carriageway plan. They’re worried about potential traffic issues, emissions, and changes to the building's appearance, prompting them to consider appealing the decision. Meanwhile, upstairs, renovations for the kids' bathroom are underway, featuring a new vanity, a solid-surface countertop with a bowl, and stylish lighting sconces. Our plumbing expert installs a new sink faucet and demonstrates an electronic valve that prevents leaks by shutting off when the clothes washer isn’t in use. Downstairs, architect Ann Beha guides Deborah Guinee through the plans for the new kitchen. After the bathroom mirror is hung, a team arrives to create and install a wire shelf system in the bathroom closets. Finally, demolition begins for the new kitchen.
