Episode Overview

Sloane and Barnes casually declare their intention to incite racial violence in the city. When Murray confronts them and starts to leave, Barnes mentions the name Eileen Critchley, causing Murray to freeze and twitch nervously. Meanwhile, Jim Nelson feels the need for a break during term, aiming to escape the stress caused by Murray's protests and mapping out a route that avoids all bridges. At the same time, Murray is becoming increasingly infatuated with Barbara Douglas, who keeps him at a distance. She visits Michael's mother under the guise of a social worker and leaves a note for Michael signed "Eileen Critchley." Frustrated, Franky finally decides he's had enough; he takes the council car and sets off on a spontaneous seaside getaway with his wife, kids, and mother.
