Leslie DeVeer, a hotel chain mogul, is bent on avenging herself against Mrs. Cabot, who married the man Leslie coveted. In a bid to gain leverage, Leslie offers Peter a prestigious position overseeing her six luxurious Caribbean resorts. Craig Chase, Leslie's loyal assistant, is infuriated by the offer and storms out, feeling betrayed. When Peter meets both women, he declines the job, recognizing the underlying rivalry. Meanwhile, journalist J.J. Powell aims to secure an exclusive with the reclusive rocker Diz Wilder. Disguised as a travel agent, she spends a day with him, but when her editor publishes their story, J.J. faces a moral dilemma. David and Martha Jane Connelly wish to relive their wedding day, inspired by a performance they attended featuring Libera.
