In a gripping tale, movie producer Steve Cutler coerces Lauren Webb by threatening to expose her past involvement in soft-core adult films unless she secures funding for his next project. When Lauren's attempts to obtain money from her boss, Byron Comstock, fail, Steve spills the secret to her husband, Tom, who leaves her devastated. In a moment of vulnerability, Lauren confesses her history to Comstock, who supports her instead of accepting her resignation. Meanwhile, Cassie Ray, a young mother, struggles with the decision to give her baby up for adoption to Larry and Gail McLain.
