Episode Overview

Senator Tom Andrews sees a chance to run for President, but his secret affair with journalist Carly Knight complicates things. His wife, Gwen, realizes that a divorce would jeopardize Tom's political ambitions and warns Carly that he would eventually resent her if forced to choose between love and power. After Carly ends their relationship, Tom confidently announces his presidential campaign. Meanwhile, Holly Crane plots to oust Christine from her job, impersonating her in a phone call to Roy Iverson, Jr. to offer favors for convention business. Peter exposes Holly's deception. Meanwhile, Wallace Egan returns to the hotel alone to remember his late wife on their anniversary, while Mark's transformed former classmate, Gloria, attempts to rekindle their connection.
