Episode Overview
Gerald and Ivy Milburn's marriage hangs by a thread as Gerald's jealousy flares over Ivy's interactions with Peter. At the same time, Ivy is troubled by Gerald's growing friendship with the alluring yet financially troubled Tracy Benedict. In a bid to divert Peter's attention from Ivy, Gerald offers Tracy money and accommodations at the hotel. Unbeknownst to him, Ivy enlists Peter to investigate Tracy's potential affair with Gerald. Meanwhile, Tracy's spurned fiancé arrives with intentions to reclaim her. In a twist, Peter helps Tracy and Nick leave as a couple. Bartender Frank Jessup faces his own struggles, grappling with prejudice against his gay coworker Joel Shubert, only to discover he has AIDS—leading to a confrontation with Joel, his ex-wife Sheila, and his son Elliot. Frank ultimately seeks forgiveness and support from Christine, who reassures him about his job security.
