Episode Overview

Superstar actress Amanda Price arrives at a hotel and reconnects with her niece, Julie, who works there. It’s their first meeting since Julie was eight, and Amanda surprises her by offering the role of her personal assistant—something puzzling since Amanda cut ties with the family two decades ago. Additionally, Amanda encounters her former friend turned rival, actress Joan Gilbert, and, under the influence of champagne, publicly criticizes her. Meanwhile, bellman Dave, preparing for his bar exam, struggles with addiction to pills from a study partner. Megan discovers the pills are Black Beauties, a harmful amphetamine, and attempts to intervene, but Dave's dependence grows, jeopardizing his job and relationships. Christine warns him to improve or face dismissal, highlighting the strain on their connections due to their hectic work lives.
