Episode Overview
During a weekend getaway, army officers Nick Hauser and Rodger Gage encounter unexpected tensions. Rodger sneaks away for a secret meeting with his male lover and is assaulted by local thugs, which reveals his hidden sexuality to Nick. Enraged, Nick confronts Rodger and insists he must leave the hotel. However, Dave, the bellman and an old friend of Rodger's, helps Nick understand the value of their friendship, regardless of Rodger's orientation. Meanwhile, Elizabeth sabotages communication between Christine and a potential client, casting doubt on Christine's competence just as Charles Cabot scrutinizes their management. She further complicates matters by spilling wine on Christine's dress, leading to a misunderstanding when Christine finds Elizabeth in Peter's robe.
