Episode Overview

After serving a grueling 20 years in penance as a Templar, Arn looks forward to an honorable discharge following a final mission in the desert, where he must confront fellow knights to save Bedouin allies from slaughter. However, the new grandmaster dismisses his discharge, prioritizing a reckless victory over Saladin. Meanwhile, in Sweden, Arn's beloved Cecilia is pressured to take the place of a wicked abbess, who curses her for her refusal to forgive. Instead, Cecilia decides to leave, determined to reunite with their son Magnus, now grown, and to finally find and marry Arn.
