Episode Overview
Whitley is feeling particularly grumpy this holiday season, especially when her mother insists on flying to the south of France instead of enjoying a peaceful Christmas at home. She dismisses Freddie's invitation to join her for the holiday and opts out of the gang’s tree-trimming gathering. That night, Whitley dreams of her mother, who warns her that she risks ending up just as lonely as Marion. Soon after, she encounters the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future—each resembling Mr. Gaines, Walter, and Jaleesa. Whitley realizes that Freddie will be spending the holidays with Dwayne, sparking a romance, and learns that they will eventually marry, leaving her alone. This revelation sparks a sudden change in Whitley’s spirit; she decorates enthusiastically and invites Freddie to join her in France. However, Marion unexpectedly arrives at the dorm and expresses her desire to spend Christmas in Richmond.
