Whitley intends to take her relationship with Dwayne to the next level on his birthday. Meanwhile, their public speaking professor tasks the class with writing their own eulogies. Josie surprises everyone with her heartfelt speech, where she opens up about contracting AIDS from unprotected sex during high school. Gina and Terrence express their misconceptions about the disease and distance themselves from Josie. Kim and Mr. Gaines step in to support her, urging the pair to educate themselves. Meanwhile, Ron fears he might be at risk for AIDS due to his past casual encounters, prompting him and Dwayne to get tested. Overwhelmed by Josie's situation, Whitley realizes she’s not ready for sex yet.
