After the kiss with Whitley, Dwayne spirals into turmoil, plagued by sleepless nights and haunting dreams, allowing their apartment to descend into chaos. Kinu becomes increasingly overbearing and possessive, clashing with Ron, who is fed up with her constant presence. In an attempt to push Kinu’s buttons, Ron hires the financially struggling Whitley as a housekeeper. Dwayne's mother senses something amiss with her son and arrives just as tensions escalate. Disliking both women, she finds herself manipulated by Whitley. Eventually, Kinu can’t take it anymore and dismisses Whitley. Dwayne confesses he still has feelings for Whitley, leading to their decision to part ways.
