Episode Overview
On September 2, 2014, Pennie Davis was discovered in a field in Beaulieu, having suffered multiple stab wounds. The investigation revealed tension surrounding her relationship with 22-year-old Benjamin Carr, the son of her estranged partner, who harbored deep resentment towards her. Mrs. Davis had previously accused Carr of two sexual assaults, which were not pursued by the police. Tensions escalated in 2012 when she threatened to expose his father's upcoming marriage. In a desperate move, Carr hired criminal Justin Robertson for £1,500 to silence her. Initially intended to intimidate her, Robertson panicked when she recognized him and ultimately took her life. Both men were charged and convicted of murder.
