Episode Overview

Judge Garth's old acquaintance, Charlie Ryan (Leif Erickson), seeks to revitalize the struggling Gloria Mine with the assistance of his son Craig (Peter Brown), who has been trained in mining, and their new associate Whit Parsons (Whit Bissell). However, they soon fall behind on payments and face challenges meeting contractual quotas. In his desperation, Craig's aggressive methods begin to alienate the local community, including Judge Garth. Tensions escalate when livestock start dying, raising suspicions of contaminated water from the mine, leading to confrontations not only between ranchers and miners but also between Charlie, Craig, and their increasingly ruthless partner, Whit.
