The Virginian (1962)

Episode Overview

Steve Hill is approached by a US Marshall (Don Collier) to infiltrate a robbery ring by rekindling a romance with his former love, Jane Carlisle (Ruta Lee), who has recently become a dance hall performer at the Medicine Bow saloon. The Marshall fears that Jane might be linked to a gang planning to steal gold meant for purchasing land from Native Americans. Hesitantly, Steve agrees and starts to act recklessly to earn the gang's trust, much to the frustration of the Virginian and the Shiloh crew, who remain oblivious to his mission. Ultimately, Steve confronts the ruthless gang leader (Mark Richman), with Jane's loyalty determining his fate.
