Episode Overview

Michael agrees to take on a new client that he, along with his wife and friends, finds deeply unappealing. Meanwhile, the unusual bond between Gary and Susannah continues to develop. While dining with Hope, Gary, Elliot, and Melissa, Michael returns a call from Jerry Kravitz, a college friend of his and Gary’s from Penn. Jerry wants Michael & Elliot to handle media work for a Senate candidate he represents, Diana McKay. This prompts Michael to have a series of flashbacks about his college days with Gary and Jerry, filled with protests and political activism. Gary visits the Race St. Project, offering to assist Susannah with their grant proposal, which hints at a budding chemistry between them. As Gary leans in for a kiss, Susannah pulls back. Despite Michael and Elliot taking on the McKay account, Gary, Susannah, and Hope express their disapproval of McKay. Hope also shares her lack of enthusiasm for Jerry after a night of nostalgia with him
