Episode Overview

During a mission to bomb the rail yards at Eissen, Muller, the new Navigator, excels but is knocked down during a maneuver, causing his wallet to fall out, revealing a photo of a man in a Nazi uniform. Shortly after, Pike intervenes in a scuffle between Muller and Magill, stemming from the unpopularity of Muller, a German, due to the picture of his father, an American Bund Nazi. When General Savage questions him, Muller shares that it's the only photo he has of his dad. As the lead Navigator for the next mission, Muller falls for a deaf girl named Nora while out walking. Unfortunately, he gets caught up with her and arrives late for the briefing, neglecting to swing his compass before takeoff. This oversight leads them off course, causing them to miss their target. Although Muller identifies the mistake and corrects it, the plane is hit, leaving Bombardier Magill severely injured. Thinking Magill is dead, Muller hesitates to help
