Episode Overview

As Savage hatches a scheme to bomb Strasbourg, he finds himself stuck in a cellar during an air raid. Alongside him are Lady Constance, Dr. Glenway, miner Bert Higgs, and a pregnant woman named Eleanor Nicholls. As they work together to escape, their backstories unfold, revealing Dr. Glenway to be Archie Lewis, a con artist from humble beginnings who seeks redemption. Once they manage to get out, Lady Constance makes the decision to transform Penrose Hall into a refuge for young women like Eleanor.
