Axis Sally is relaying unsettlingly accurate details about the 918th, even predicting Savage's demise. Following a bomb explosion that injures two crew members, it’s discovered to be an act of sabotage. While receiving treatment for a minor injury, Savage narrowly escapes death from an overdose of morphine administered by the new nurse, Lt. Dietrich. Colonel Reed from G-2 arrives to investigate the situation. During the next mission, no German planes target Piccadilly Lilly, although two other aircraft are shot down and five more sustain heavy damage. Back at base, Savage learns of another broadcast from Axis Sally, who suggests he will die on the 13th. Colonel Reed arrests several individuals, including Lt. Dietrich. Unbeknownst to everyone, Gilly Bright, the barber, is the real spy.
