Episode Overview

In Scotland, Gallagher meets with Major General Hardy to discuss a Ranger mission, during which Gallagher devises a plan for air support. While returning home on a B-17, they are shot down over the North Sea. Of the two-man crew, Captain Tom Powell and Staff Sergeant Johnny Miller, only Powell survives alongside Gallagher. They try to set up a radio transmitter but receive no response. Eventually, they spot an island, Seagull Rock, and manage to land there. A B-17 weather plane and a fishing trawler pick up their signals, but so does a German U-Boat. Gallagher discards his briefcase, Powell surrenders, and Gallagher is captured as they are taken aboard the U-Boat.
