Episode Overview

Lester’s construction firm is on the verge of being acquired by a large international corporation. The attorney handling the merger rents the apartment next door, but he and Mary clash immediately. He asks her for tickets to a Pointer Sisters concert, insists she cook him a steak after she’s already prepared fish, and even confuses her for a maid, offering her $3.00 an hour to clean his place. When Mary fails to get the tickets, she, Rose, and Sandra decide to dress up as the Pointer Sisters and throw a party for Thurmond. Ultimately, Lester chooses not to go through with the sale.
