Episode Overview

Determined to fit in with the cool crowd, Jennifer invites her fashionable classmates to celebrate her thirteenth birthday. However, when they start to complain about her “lame” party, which features a puppet show performed by her dad, Jennifer feels the pressure. With Mallory’s help, she transforms into a “valley girl” and abandons her own celebration. But soon, Jennifer discovers that she’s not enjoying herself at all and decides to stand up to her new friends, rejecting the persona she tried to adopt.
