Episode Overview

Santini attempts to persuade his girlfriend, Jess Orton, to help him connect with some drug dealers, as he wants to leave Sun Hill. His friend, DS Timpney from the Area Drugs unit, has promised him a position if Santini can provide evidence against them. However, things take a turn when the Ortons' nightclub is firebombed, and Santini is stunned to find that his old rival, DS Rosie Fox, is part of the investigation team from AMIP. While Fox suspects Santini's involvement, her AMIP DCI, Richard Pallister, disagrees. In a bid to gain the drug dealers' trust, Santini convinces Jess to falsely confess to the bombing.
