Episode Overview

Santini is hell-bent on discovering whether Jess Orton has betrayed him. When he breaks into her house to confront her, the encounter leads to her tragic fall down the stairs. DCI Pallister then pulls Fox from the case, warning her that if her actions contributed to Jess's death, she could face legal repercussions. Vicky probes DS Timpney for details, doubting Santini’s version of events. In a frantic attempt to hide his connection to the Ortons, Santini and Fox end up captured by Sherman and Ferguson, facing execution. Fox thinks she has evidence for Orton’s murder, but Santini attacks her, only for his girlfriend Hagen to ultimately expose him as the killer after their escape.
