Episode Overview

P.C. Ramsey and P.C. Haynes respond to a call at a flat where the residents have stumbled upon a decayed skeleton hidden within the wall, just where they intended to install a fireplace. Sgt. Cryer, D.S. Roach, and D.C. Dashwood soon join the scene, followed by a forensic expert to investigate the remains. In the process, a suspicious object resembling a baby is discovered, but it turns out to be merely a doll. As CID investigates the previous tenants and questions the troublesome neighbors of the Trants, they uncover a note from a merchant sailor who, unable to afford a burial, concealed his deceased wife's body in the wall.
