Episode Overview

D.S. Roach witnesses a drug deal happening on the Rochester Estate, but despite the efforts of himself, Carver, and Dashwood, they fail to apprehend the dealers. Meanwhile, P.C. Haynes and P.C. Ramsey spot the fleeing vehicle and pursue it, but the car collides with a young girl before crashing into a skip. Haynes loses one suspect due to interference from some local troublemakers, yet they manage to arrest the driver, Mickey Squire. With Burnside off duty, Ch. Insp. Conway permits Ramsey and Haynes to take the lead on the case. Excited about the prospects of returning to C.I.D., Ramsey teams up with Haynes for a good-cop/bad-cop routine to extract a confession. Haynes goes undercover at a party to track down the missing passenger and the primary drug supplier. C.I.D. later storm the supplier's upscale apartment, uncovering a significant stash of drugs and stolen items in the garage.
