Episode Overview

A homeless woman is discovered deceased at a construction site, prompting an investigation by Haynes. It turns out she succumbed to chlorine gas. The site is managed by an individual who was previously convicted of illegal dumping, and he allowed a friend to dispose of cleaning chemicals down a manhole. Meanwhile, Garfield is looking into a waste discharge near the river when his informant suddenly collapses. The toxic fumes affect Garfield too, leaving him lightheaded. Tragically, the informant dies from cyanide gas poisoning. Dashwood and Lines initially want June to conduct 50 PNC checks but get sidetracked with the chemical dumping cases, which are ultimately connected.
