Episode Overview

While on foot patrol, W.P.C. Brind and P.C. Melvin find themselves separated. Brind confronts a workplace issue alone, but the troublemaker, Nobby Briggs, breaks her radio and traps her in a storeroom. When Melvin finally arrives, he requests backup, leading to Briggs’ arrest. Meanwhile, Sgt. Cryer is in a foul mood due to a painful toothache, which causes him to lash out at a prisoner, even pushing him. When council lay visitors come to inspect the station, the prisoner claims Cryer assaulted him. Fortunately, his cellmate exonerates Cryer, but he must forgo his dentist appointment to speak with Ch. Supt. Brownlow about the incident.
