Episode Overview

Hong Zhu, a eunuch, guides Fan Xian and reveals how he has suffered due to corrupt officials. He credits Fan Xian's commitment to justice for enabling his chance for retribution. Afterward, Fan Xian and Wang Qi Nian head back to the First Bureau, where Fan Xian insists that the announcement date for the Spring Imperial Examination results should stay unchanged. He instructs Wang Qi Nian to add Yang Wan Li's name back onto the honor roll once more.
